Mind you, there are tons of online Labor Day sales going on including some on this very site! And of course, if you’re headed to a shopping mall near you (or miles away in a metal building somewhere), there is sure to be something going on there as well!

Happy Labor Day and have a wonderful, long weekend!

A mouse click away!

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Online shopping is truly a fabulous experience. Recently I ordered a number of things online and I really had fun when the packages started arriving one by one at my front door.

It’s not instant gratification, no, not by a mile but still it’s exciting to receive packages and open them to touch and see what I’ve ordered. Technology is great, isn’t it? Online Schooling, online shopping, it’s all just a mouse click away!

Recycle when you can

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Have you noticed how the Halloween and Christmas items are already on sale at the stores? Seriously, this early? Well, I guess it can’t hurt to start early, eh so you can start saving early too!

As for me, I’d say there’s lots of ways to save on your festive purchases, like using recycled Christmas cards and maybe even those gifts you can’t find a use for. In these economic times, it’s never a bad idea to recycle and save in whatever way you can.

Charm of coins

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

You know what I’d really like right now? I’ve always been a fan of charm bracelets and I’ve recently fallen in love with one that features a gold coin instead of the usual trinkets. So pretty!

I saw a lady wearing said gold coin charm bracelet and I just fell totally in love with it. I wonder where she bought it. I was tempted to ask but wasn’t sure if that would be rude, seeing as she might have gotten it for a gift.

So from now on, you know I’m going to be on the lookout for something similar. Not with real gold coins though, I don’t think I could afford that!

Hooked on online shopping

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

I’ve just discovered the joys of online shopping. Mall rat that I am, I never thought online shopping could be so much fun. Now I know there’s a certain charm about not having to look for a parking spot and walk across the parking lot in the hot sun.

My handy-dandy computer mouse finds me everything I need, from fancy door knobs to garden furniture. Pretty neat! Now I can even shop in the middle of the night if I can’t sleep!

When will she quit chasing me?

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

If it’s one thing that really puts me off when I go to this particular grocery store is that there’s a promoter lady who keeps chasing me around trying to sell me something.

To be quite honest, till now I still haven’t figured out what she’s saying as she runs alongside me gabbing non-stop hoping I’ll stop! Maybe she wants to give me a gold bar for free, who knows  ?

Seriously, what she’s doing is close to harrassment! She won’t take no for an answer and no matter how many times I tell her I’m not interested, she will still chase me down the next time she sees me! Maybe she’s hoping one day she’ll succeed in making me bad enough that I will stop!

Fashion accessories – what’s out is in!

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

I know that at one time chunky gold jewelry was in. To me, it is still in simply because I love it and have heaps of chunky gold fashion accessories. Does anyone out there know if I’m the only one who would buy gold fashion accessories or have we moved on to beads, pearls and other stuff?

Quite frankly, I have no idea what accessories are in fashion now. I typically make do with what I have and I would like to think most of my accessories are evergreen  . For me, what’s always in is gold. Wait, silver’s good too!
