Love to shop? Then subscribe to my RSS feed to be the first to find out what's hip and happenin' in the world of shopping. Thanks for visiting!
I’m on the prowl for a bag… again. The shiny silver one I’m using now that I got from a sale three months ago is starting to show signs of going to pieces. So what sort of bag am I looking for?
A big roomy tote bag. Something really casual and simple. No big silver buckles, noisy prints or 101 pockets. And it’s got to be light and not weigh a ton even before I start putting in my lipstick.
The thing with big totes though is that they aren’t made for petite women. Women with small build tend to be overshadowed by the width and height of these bags. I’m not very tall but I’m tall enough to carry it off.

Finally I had time to go to the Body Shop. I’d been holding off going to their sale because I was busy with house guests. But today, I was at Midvalley for lunch and couldn’t wait to stop by.
Although the 70% discount signs are still up, every item I picked up seems to be only 10% off. Like my teenaged son says, when stores advertise 10% - 70% discounts, there’ll only be one item at 70% off and the rest of the items at the store will be 10% off. What a profound observation by one so young!
Can’t blame me for walking out empty-handed

The fashion shows are still going on at One Utama but we haven’t been going there. Midvalley Megamall’s Fashion Week is still on this week. The one at Suria, KLCC finished last weekend.
So many fashion shows, so little time.
Just imagine how exhausted I’d be if I’d been going to every single show in town. But I like the fact that no matter which mall you happen to be at, you can catch a glimpse of glamor.
The thing I’ve noticed is that the models seem to be getting skinnier. The poor things, sometimes I wonder what they eat, if they eat at all. I’m not sure clothes necessarily look better on skinny models though.
And my personal take on the matter is that not all clothes look equally good on everyone. We’re all constructed differently so we just have to be aware of what looks good on us and not get carried away with what looks good on someone else.

Looks like shopping season may be officially over for many of us, and yet for many others, there’s yet another shopping season that’s just beginning.
I’ve done so much shopping in these past two months that I really think there isn’t much left to buy any more. I’ve essentially completed all of my shopping for Chinese New Year clothes.
Chinese New Year will be early next year in early February, I believe, which means it’s going be rolling up pretty quick. I’m going to be scaling down next year, buying less, eating less and just not overdoing it.
Frankly I’m not much into this charade of Chinese New Year and wish I didn’t even have to ‘pretend’ it’s such a big deal. Which it isn’t but somehow every year, we inadvertently get dragged into the thick of it.
I’d much rather keep it simple and quiet. I’d much rather just go to the gym and have some good non-Chinese food out. I know I’m wierd but then again, I like being different and doing my own thing.

We were at the PC Fair two days in a row last weekend hauling home boxes of geeky goodies which DH says he’ll going to set up for me so I’ll have even more technology at my fingertips than I already do now.

Trouble is when you have a die-hard geek in the family, you learn not to expect diamond rings and lingerie for Christmas and birthdays. You learn to pout your lips like you are so-oo drooling over that new router or wireless mouse!!!
Yes, sadly romance has come to this! Serves us right for living our lives on the internet and smooching with avatars instead of holding hands and going out for candlelight dinners. Sigh!

Every weekend, when the kids and I go shopping, I notice the prices of things are just creeping up. I guess companies hope we don’t notice but the point is when you shop as often as us moms do, it’s hard to hide the fact.
So what exactly can a dollar buy these days? Let’s see…
- an ice-cream cone
- a blank DVD
- a ballpoint pen
- a can or box of some lesser known soft drink
- a few baby doughnuts

I have to admit I have never really liked the grotesque rubbery look of Crocs.
The first time I laid eyes on them, I swear they were the ugliest things I’ve ever seen.
And I still do… think they’re the ugliest things a person could ever wear. So when my best buddy told me that even she had invested in a pair and joined the Croc revolution, my jaw positively dropped!
I say ‘invested’ because although they look cheap, they’re not! They’re supposed to have some sort of podiatric benefit on your feet though I really can’t see how. Not when some kids have lately gotten their Crocs stuck in the teeth of elevators and had their poor toes cut off.
While my friend swears they’re so-oo comfortable, her husband has warned, “Don’t walk with me when you’re wearing those things! Walk on ahead and I’ll pretend I don’t know you!” Ouch! I’m afraid I have to agree with him there

Confession, I love to shop. Take it any way you want but there’s nothing like falling hopelessly in love with something and then taking it home with me going, yes, you’re mine, all mine.
Ever felt that way? Yeah, sometimes the urge to splurge is irresistable. Yet oftentimes, for a mom like me, shopping is just as much about buying as it is about saving.
At any rate, when I come across a great find, I’m always recommending them to my friends anyways. So I thought why not take that one step further and post it on a blog that’s all about shopping and precious little else?
So here’s my collection of interesting finds, shopping events, shopping tips, new and exciting places to shop, rewards and freebies, and naturally coupons, discounts and sales.
Be sure to stick around also for ways to earn some shopping money. If I could make a little pocket change to go shopping, maybe I’ll feel less guilty
.
Shall we go shopping then? I’m excited to get started, aren’t you?
