setting up a girl’s study area

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Redecorating a girl’s room is such fun especially if she’s old enough to make some of their own decisions about color and style. In the study area, this SWITCHaROO student desk would be the perfect thing. The colorful drawers are themselves such a draw  .

This SWITCHaROO desk chair would be the perfect complement. The colors of the polka dots match the desk drawers in a distinctly funky way.

Throw in a few mini pillows and she will have a cozy study corner.

I’m not sure how many girls would appreciate getting xbox games as gifts but this, you can be pretty sure she’ll love. Who knows it may even turn her into an instant scholar  ?!

one-stop LA real estate shopping

Monday, January 25th, 2010

I love the mild weather and friendly people in Southern California. Quite frankly, if I had to pick a place to move to, that would be it  . But while I love the excitement of moving to a new place, it is often the thought of hunting for suitable housing that deters me.

It can be pretty overwhelming moving a new and unfamiliar city. But all is not lost. The good news though is that there’s online real estate shopping so your search for homes for sale, condos, foreclosures, apartments and rentals are all only a mouse click away.

Whether it’s Los Angeles Condos you’re looking to rent or Pacific Palisades Homes for Sale, you can easily find it on LALiving.com with its highly navigable site design and innovative search engine. This is one website that doesn’t have you needlessly going round in circles and wasting time trying to find your way around.

Like I always say, if you can find something online in the comfort of your own living room, it’s already half the battle won. I’m told there’s even more reason to invest in your own home because of the $8,000 tax credit you could enjoy by buying a home.

testing a light bulb

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

My bathroom light has blown. I have to admit I’ve never actually bought a light bulb before. My guys usually handle that. Since I was out grocery shopping today, I decided to buy a new bulb for my bathroom.

I thought it would be as simple as just picking up the bulb and walking out. Turns out I had to test it to make sure it’s working… and I had to test it myself  . For a moment, I wondered if I would need a life insurance quote before I stuck the bulb in the test socket.

Luckily there was a guy there who was also testing some bulbs and offered to help me. But before he could do that, I managed to get the bulb in, flipped the switch and voila, it works!

search for owner financing homes made easy

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

It’s the end of the year and this is usually the time when people are looking to relocated or move to new homes. I see lots of for-sale signs up on the lawns around my neighborhood.

Someone was talking about Owner Financing and frankly I have to admit I don’t know much about it at all. It’s something new to me. I was told I can read it up on OwnerFinanceListings.com which contains a listing of owner financed homes and a wealth of information about the benefits, the pitfalls and your burning questions answered. Sounds like the place for me if I want to find out more.
