keeping your skin soft and supple

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

If you spend a lot of time in any kind of air-conditioned or heated environment, you’re probably notice it can have a dehydrating effect on your skin. This light organic body lotion will leave you with soft, delicately fragranced skin. It contains soothing ingredients like linden blossom extract, and skin softening ingredients like apricot kernel oil, lavender honey and mallow flower extract.

Just as you wouldn’t forget your Bluetooth headset when driving, you shouldn’t forget to apply a good natural skin moisturizer like this one whenever you can.

is there a way to get rid of stretch marks?

Monday, February 15th, 2010

For many new moms, the joy of motherhood is often marred by the sight of stretch marks where their skin used to be smooth and flawless. It’s true, no matter what prenatal vitamin or carefully planned diet you’ve been on, it often makes no difference. The only thing left to do is to use a good stretch mark cream and hope it will help reduce the unsightly effect.

Even then, I read that there is no guarantee that even the best creams will remove stretch marks altogether. They merely help to make the lines less visible over time, not to completely erase them. Do you think this is true? What’s your experience with stretch marks and have you, or someone you know, been successful in erasing stretch marks?

test before buying

Monday, February 15th, 2010

If you have sensitive skin, you should always test out a new beauty product on a small patch of skin or a strand of hair first before going full scale with it. I mean, let’s face it, if you have sensitive skin, it’s better to be safe than sorry, right?

Sometimes while you’re trying to solve one problem, you might inadvertently create another. For example, if you’re trying out a shampoo for thinning hair, it might turn out that you’re allergic to that and you end up with a whole new problem.

So be sure to do a small test first. Ask for a sample bottle from the product promoter. Go home and try it out first before buying a regular-sized bottle or you would’ve wasted your money if it turns out that your skin is sensitive to it.

hot weather and oily skin

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

The weather has been so super-duper hot and humid. For those who have oily skin, I think all of that perspiration will clog their pores and soon they’ll have to start looking for ways to get rid of blackheads. I’ve had to buy some nose strips for my teens in the hopes it’ll help solve this problem. They just need to wet their nose area, smooth on the nose strip and wait for 15 minutes before pulling it off. I hope it works!
