a walk in The Gardens

Finally we made it to The Gardens. I’ve been talking about it for weeks but it takes time and effort to get our butts over there.
I’m glad we were there today because as the long weekend draws near, I expect it’ll be impossible trying to get to Midvalley Megamall.
The traffic is horrendous as it is every weekend, not to mention a long holiday weekend like this when out-of-towners will be here for a piece of the action.
So now The Gardens is the building right beside MidValley. In fact, I wanted to get there so bad I asked for directions at the Information Counter so I wouldn’t have to waste time looking around for it.
My shopaholic’s instinct told me the minute I set foot into The Gardens that this is an upscale shopping mall, for those with heavy pockets waiting to unload.
The floors polished marble. The store (oops, boutique) on my left with the word “Coach”. The smartly dressed guards in every corner. The architectural concept of the criss-crossing bridges is really cool.
The anchor stores, Isetan and Robinsons are both open but many of the others are not but I expect they would be open in time to catch the shopping season.
